The Gadgeteer: The Droyd Romper = Big Wheel 2.0
Posted on
This “tricycle” (it feels so wrong to call it that because it’s way cooler than that) is a 24v lithium-ion battery-powered version of the classic Big Wheel. It’s targeted for toddlers ages 3 and up and will hold up to a 66 lb rider. It’s made of plastic like the Big Wheel, has an adjustable seat, no pedals, and weighs 20 lbs. It has two speed settings: 3 mph and 6 mph (4.8 kph and 9.6 kph). You’ll get a maximum of 45 minutes of ride time (low-speed setting) before you have to charge the battery which takes about 5 hours.
Cool Things: Droyd Romper Turns The Big Wheel Into A Modern Electric Trike For Kids
Posted on
The Droyd Romper takes the characteristics of the traditional Big Wheel trike and equips it with a motor that’s more suited for modern children’s rides. Designed for kids three and up, it’s powered by a brushed hub motor out front that can propel it to breakneck speeds of up to 6 mph. Yes, your kids won’t be burning the roads any time with this thing, but that’s enough speed to get toddlers all amped up for an afternoon snack later in the day. There’s also a low setting that keeps it at 3 mph for kids who just want to go on a relaxing cruise.

Droyd is a new brand that I had the chance to kick the tires on just as their electric bikes were hitting the market. First of all, this bike is a beauty! The retro-inspired design and colors are a real eye-catcher. But, most importantly for parents, the safety features are on point! There's a slow-start throttle so the bike doesn't take off too quickly. And there's a speed limit control to help ease kids into riding: the low-setting is 6.2 mph and the high is 10 mph (which is pretty darn fast).
Toy Insider Review: Bigger Kids can Ride in Style with the Blipper

“Now THAT is a cool bike!” That was what one parent from down the street said when my daughter was cruising the neighborhood on the Droyd Blipper last month. They’re not wrong. The Blipper is an electric bike (e-bike) designed for teens ages 13 and up. Its sturdy frame sits atop pneumatic rubber tires and is powered by a brushless, 24-volt, 250-watt motor that can propel the Blipper and its rider (up to 165 lbs) to a top speed of 12.5 mph. It’s short, so you could call it a mini bike; and the Blipper gives the gas-powered dirt bikes that some of our neighbors have a serious run for their money — and it does it without the noise and harmful emissions. The Droyd...
Techaeris Review: Serious fun for fun-loving kids

These days, you are more likely to find kids sitting on the couch playing video games than outside enjoying the fresh air and sun. With tech advancements such as VR and AR, video games have been taken to another level of interactivity. But some parents and even some kids still believe that physically playing outside among nature can’t be beaten. The Droyd Blipper and Weeler are two electric bikes that bring serious fun to fun-loving kids. Estimated reading time: 8 minutes The Droyd Blipper and Weeler are similar, so we’ve combined the review to include both models. The Droyd Blipper is intended for riders 13 and up, while the Weeler is designed for riders 6 to 12. Let’s jump into...

The Droyd Team is proud to announce that the Weeler won Toy Insider's 2023 Top Summer Toy Award! "This motorized ride-on is made for younger, novice riders, and has safety features such as a slow-start throttle and built-in parental speed controls, which allow caregivers to use a separate key to lock in the Weeler’s top speed to a certain limit up to 10 mph. These safety features help prevent accidental launches and reduce the chance of unexpected speed increases while riding." Original Article: https://thetoyinsider.com/products/weeler/
